silorbrown sewin

tied by fish
Fly Type: Wet,
Target Species: Trout, Sea Trout,
Recommended Region: not available Eastern Canada, General Europe,
Material List:
silver mylar, seal dubbing, olive and orange, hen hackle
Tying Instructions: quite a long silver but, then a nice clump of arange and olive seal dubbing in front and a wind or two of soft brown hen neck feather.

Presentation Tips: This is like a British sea trout (sewin in Wales) pattern. Fished wet. I have fished it for brook trout in Quebec with some success. I think it may be a good early season fly immitating an alevin. It may be a decent winter/spring steelhead fly but I have never tried it for that.
