Fly Type: Attractor Pattern,
Recommended Region: ,
Imitation: ,
Material List:
Hook: Tiemco 2302
Size: 6-16
Thread: Yellow 6/0
Tail: Deer body hair
Body: 2mm craft foam
Hackle: Grizzly, palmered
Wing: Deer body hair
Head: 2mm craft foam

Tying Instructions: Step 1: Place the hook in the vise, secure thread.
Step 2: Tie in tail above hook point.
Step 3: Trim a piece of craft foam to a point, then trim the thickness at an angle of 30-45 degrees.
Step 4: Tie in foam with trimmed angle resting on the hook shank.
Step 5: Fold foam forward and secure one segment of the body. The body will be 4 segments when complete.
Step 6: Select a grizzly hackle and secure in the first segment of the body.
Step 7: Finish body. Secure each segment with two solid wraps, then move thread forward underneath the foam.
Step 8: Palmer hackle forward with two wraps per segment of the body. Tie off.
Step 9: Clean and stack a small clump of deer hair and tie in as the wing. Cut a small piece of foam for the head. It should be slightly wider than body foam. Dog ear the top of the foam.
Step 10: Rest dog earred end of foam on hair wing and tie in at the mid point between the hook eye and the base of the hair wing. Secure the head with several firm wraps of thread. Move thread forward under the foam. Trim the tag end of the foam flush with the eye of the hook, then dog ear this end. Whip finish thread. Apply crazy glue on the bottom of the foam head to secure in place.

Presentation Tips: This fly is just the foam version of the Stimulator. Anything the Stimulator will catch, so will this.
