Target Species: Steelhead,
Material List:
Hook; A.J. spey, 3/0
Bead/cone; medium black conehead
Thread; Uni Cord
Tag/tip; small silver oval, and yellow uni stretch
Tail; white rabbit strip, tied hair side down, over laid with tag of wing, glued together with zap a gap just slightly past bend
Wing; fushia rabbit strip, left long for tail
Butt; a mix of black rams wool, blue fox hair and purple rabbit dubbing
Rib, pink disco yarn palmered over body, followed by small wine ultra wire that is wrapped over wing to hold it to the shank
Body; purple, then blue, then red body braid
Collar Blue then clarret disco yarn
Tying Instructions: Cone, tag tip, tail, butt, ribs, body, wing then collar, the fly is then brushed out, to fluff up the disco yarn. The second picture is opened up to show the body, and the third picture is after the fly has been run under the tap and let dry for about 1/2 hour, the last picture is dried and brushed out again, how the fly is.
