ginger/light brown dubbing
gold oval tinsel or dark brown thread
base of a ginger/brown hackle
black thread

Tying Instructions: place hook in vice
start black thread on base of hook
tie oval tinsel (used for ribs) or dark brown thread
tie scud backing on
tie base of hackle feather on
twist dubbing onto thread, wrap around hook moving towards the hook eye.
pull hackle across the top of the body and tie it off (its basically laying on top of the body).
Pull scud backing forward and tie it off just above the hook eye
wrap ribbing material around the body until you get to the front.
tie off the head.

Presentation Tips: Dead drift the fly along the bottom of the river.
