Foxy Green Chinchilla (Sparrow) tied by Joe HardFly Type: Attractor Pattern

Hook; TMC 300 size 2
Thread; UTC, 70 White, (red/brown marker)
Tail; Damsel green marabou, a few strands of root beer K.F. overlaid by a few Natural red fox guard hairs
Under body; built up to a taper with light yellow uni yarn
Rib; in sections, first embossed flat copper tinsel, rear section of body only. Second, chinchilla saddle folded and palmer wrapped over forward section of body only.
Counter Rib; red wire reverse wrap ed through hackle on forward section of body.
Body; in 3 sections, first half under fur from natural red fox, Second 2/3 under fur and guard hairs from natural red fox, and front 1/3 damsel green marabou dubbing, plucked out and brushed back.
Wing; a few strands of damsel green marabou, a few strands of Root beer K.F. and a few slightly longer strands of natural red fox.
Collar; a folded and swept back chinchilla saddle, fairly full
Topping; The tip of a damsel green marabou plume drawn to the length of the collar.
Head; Black herl, thread and marker, red wire.
Tail rib, underbody. rear body is tied then wire and hackle are added. The wire is brought forward to the eye where a few wraps are made. The forward body section is then tied and wing and collar, topping and herl head is added. The head of the fly is marked with marker then a drop of Zap-A-Gap.Presentation Tips:
Its a big fly that is simmilar to a sparrow, also a bugger. fish as a streamer or swing or swim it through the slot.
