Hook: Scud hook 12 - 16
Tail and Feelers: Mallard Flank
Ribbing: Mono line
Back: Latex Scud Backing or clear sandwhich bag
Body: Course poly dubbing

Tying Instructions: Start thread on hook (Scud hook Size 12-16)
Tie dyed mallard flank in for tail and feelers
Then wrap some lead wire around hook for weight (as needed)
At bend of hook tie in piece of tippet material or Monofilament fishing line
(About 4 Lb clear)
Also some latex scud back material or cut clear sandwich bag (Zip lock or other) about ¼ wide strip.
Dub thread with coarse poly dubbing and wrap shank of hook form bend to eye of hook.
Pull scud back material over dubbing on shank of hook and tie off behind eye of the hook and trim
Wrap ribbing material over body to make segmented body and tie off and trim behind eye of hook and whip finish and cement.
Now pick poly dubbing material from under the body of fly to create legs as shown in picture.
