Material List:
closed cell foam (packing material) hares ear dubbing, wood duck for tails or pheasant tail fibers, 6/0 olive-dun thread.
Tying Instructions: 1110 daichii hook #14-22 for mayfly species needed, tail same as the hook gap with wood duck, tial tie in tails as usual tying meathod. dub body (hares ear for color of mayfly species) to the 60 % of the hook tie in closed cell foam 1/8" wide for a #16 hook tie in at stoping point for dubbing, with a 1/8" facing forward with the rest of the material facing back to the bend (about 2" or so) fold the large tag over the small tag tie off and wrap the thread around the foam, tie off clip excess material, move the thread forward on the hook shank, dub the thorax back from the eye. and whip finish fly is complete
Presentation Tips: This pattern is for slurping fish in soft water (don't grease the fly) the foam will support the hook in the surface film,
