DSV Nylon Minnow Worm

tied by dsaavedra
Fly Type: Inverted Hook,
Target Species: Freshwater Bass,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Imitation: Worms,
Material List:
Body: thin 3ply nylon rope, frayed very much!!!

lead eyes.
Tying Instructions: tie on lead eyes about mid shank on top of the hook when it is in a normal position. go infront of the eyes and tie in two 4" pieces of whole nylon rope. invert the hook in your vise and then tie in 3 four inch pieces of the rope infornt of the eyes. build up a nice thread head. now use the technique described in my "Bullet Head Diver" to seperate the fibers of the tail. once thats all done and overwith, evenly coat the head in headcement to give it a nice sheen, and add some googly eyes for fun if ya like :)
Presentation Tips: this could be fished as a minnow pattern or as a worm. this type of body material has some GREAT action in the water!!!!! it undulates and waves with the slightest movements. quickly jerk it thru the water as a streamer, or slowly craw/jiggle it along the bottom as a worm.
