Thread; red and black8/0 uni
Eyes; small silver flat end hourglass eyes. coated with red on top and sparkle gold on bottom and black as pupil fabric paint. 2 coats of S.H. then head cement as the fly is tied. keeps the fly light and makes eyes look bigger and adds colour
Tail; Ocean green Yak hair with 4 strands of kreinik blending filament 043, thread removed inter twined 4 hook shanks long, tied eyes back to hook point
Body; Chartreuse bucktail tied from the eyes back to just below hook point, then thread wrappings covered with chartreuse uni stretch, 2 hook shank's long
Throat; white bucktail 3 shanks long tied on at eye with black thread, and behind eye with red thread
Wing; Herring back Yak hair, just slightly longer than bucktail, over about 15 strands of green flashabou doubled
head thread, and cement
Tying Instructions: Tie on hourglass eyes and remove thread. add fabric paint and let dry. You can put on one colour right after the other, no need to let each one dry. coat with Sally Hansen and let dry between each coat or epoxy
with red thread behind eyes attach tail and kreinik flash, 1 strands per side, doubled. thread each strand of flash through yak hair. Lots of fun. Add chartreuse bucktail, then unistretch. Tie on white bucktail near eye and then tie down behind eye with several firm wraps of thread whip finnish and remove red thread. Keeps thread wraps from painted eyes. Add head cement to whip finnish and eyes/bucktail. Add flashabou, and double it back then wing, finish head.
Presentation Tips: As a clouser, this fly is about 8 inches long will sink and swim like a clouser but is lighter then bigger dumbbell eyes as it only has small eyes painted to look bigger
