Krystal Minnow

tied by deeky
Fly Type: Streamers,
Target Species: Panfish,
Recommended Region: Central US,
Imitation: General Baitfish,
Material List:
Hook: Mustad 3261, size 8
Thread: Uni Thread, 8/0 black
Wing (Top of shank): Black Pearl Krystal Flash
Body (under shank): Rootbeer/Pearl Krystal Flash
Tying Instructions: I prefer to tie in the items beneath the shank first. For this size, I used 3 strands of rootbeer and 5 each of white pearl and black pearl. Being the frugal (cheap) tyer that I am, I fold each color bundle in half a few times until it's close to the length I want. After the bottom two colors, tie in the top. Build a thread head. Trim the materials to a taper with the top color slightly longer than the others.
