Fly Type: Nymphs,
Target Species: Steelhead,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Imitation: Caddis Flies,
Material List:
Size # 6-14 TMC 2457 Scud hook
Jelly Rope Green-craft store find
Black craft bead
Black 6/0 thread
Peacock Herl
Rabbit Guard hairs or grizzly hackle
Tying Instructions: Place bead over hook, attach thread. Cut 1/2 " jelly rope and slide over hook, wrap with peacock at collar, and add legs(optional)- either dub rabbit face hares or any soft hackle. whip finish and tie off. A very simple effective fly that lasts and I found most materials in my niece's necklace craft kit. So it became very easy to get her interested and on the river.
