Tying Instructions: Start with the tail and work your way forward. For the body, I tie in the rib and then 4-5 herls. After tying in the tips, I wrap the herl around the tying thread and wrap the whole thing forward. Then, I untwist the remaining herl from the thread and tie it off. The mallard and guinea get tied in as clumps rather than a palmered hackle.
