#22 Bloodmidge Larva

tied by siestafred
Fly Type: Terrestrials & Midges,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: Eastern Canada,
Imitation: Mayflies,
Material List:
Hook: 20-24 Scud (this is a #22)
Thread: Red 8/0
Body: Red Flashabou wrapped
Thorax: 2-3 Wraps of a single strand of Red Tinted Peacock Herl
Tying Instructions: Once you get used to tying these smaller sizes, this is a very easy one to do. The trout tend to chew the wraps up a bit, so I tie several at a time.
Why even larger trout love small bloodmidges like this so much always amazes me....but they do.
