Fly Type: Attractor Pattern,
Target Species: General Salmon,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Material List:
Thread: white for underbody and red for head - 6/0 orvis
Tag: x-small silver mylar tinsel
Tail: red goose wing quill slips
Body: red floss
Rib: small silver mylar tinsel
hackle: webby red saddle hackles tied at mid body and collar folded and pulled down.
Wing: Two sides of 2 red saddle hackles sandwiching a yellow saddle hackle tied flat
Tying Instructions: a touch of glue for the "wing assemblies" helps keep the wing flat. I got a bit of a V - which I decided I liked!

Presentation Tips: Troll it right after ice out on Moosehead lake in Maine on dark gray windy "snotty" days. Keep it low in the boat, out of sight of the fish, then hang on tight to the rod. Cast it in Little and Big Eddy of the West Branch of the Penobscot River in the fall. Be prepared.
