Tying Instructions: Start the thread and wrap to a point over the barb. Tie in 5 to 8 moose mane hairs for a tail. A small bump of thread at the bend helps splay the tail. Dub a thin body of gray muskrat.
Tie in two grizzly hackle tips in a delta pattern. Tie in one fiery brown and one well-marked grizzly hackle. Take three to four wraps of each hackle, tie of and form a neat thread head.

Presentation Tips: A favorite of mine from early May through late October. Excellent dry fly for smallmouth when skated. A good crane fly imitation. This is the Adams in its original tie.
