Hook: Standard wet fly
Thread: White
Hackle: Ginger Hen
Ribbing: Fine gold wire or tinsel dependent upon fly size.
Abdomen: Pink Floss
Thorax: Gray rabbit
Tying Instructions: Prepare hackle by stripping off unnecessary fibers. Strip the right side of the feather up a little higher. This should be tied onto the shank with the higher side on the shank. Wrap the thread evenly down the shank and tie on the ribbing. Next tie on the floss carefully overwrapping the wire and floss as you wrap the thread back down the shank to where the thorax will be. Carefully wrap the floss evenly down the shank. Tie off and trim excess. Rib the fly with tinsel or wire. Tie off and trim excess. Touch dub the thorax using the gray rabbit dubbing. Wrap the hackle-two turns, tie off and trim excess. With the thumb and forefinger of the non-tying hand, sweep the hackles back and slightly overwrap the fibers to hold them in position. Form the head, Whip finish and add a drop of cement.
Presentation Tips: All standard wet-fly presentations including the Leisenring Lift or other active retrieve, on the swing, Etc.
