Fly Type: Streamers,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: Central Canada,
Hook size 10 to size 6 2x nymph hook
Crystal or Ice Chenille small to medium Green and peacock or Brown and peacock.
Black saddle hackle
Thin copper wire
Copper bead if desired
Weight with lead or tungsten if desired
Tying Instructions: Tie in normal bugger fashion. The only advice I have is that if the hackle wraps are spread apart wider the chenille gives off a more stunning effect. This is not My pattern, only what I felt Might be a popular pattern in these Central Canada trout lakes.
Presentation Tips: I was using this on a lake with slow 4-6" strips as well as the figure 8 retrieve. This fly worked great casted from shore, from a boat to shore and trolled but I would suggest adding lead for trolling. It worked well on the day after the trout festival and the fish were very spooked, I went through the fly box that day, and caught on both the brown and the black but better action on the black.
