Biot PMD Emerger

Fly Type: General Freshwater,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: Northeast US,
Thread - 8/0 Lt Yellow
Tail _ Mallard flank
Body- Tan Goose Biot
Thorax- Lt Yellow Superfine dubbing
Wing - Lt Dun
Tying Instructions: Provide a thread base beginning behind hook eye & wrapping to end of hook shank.
Tie in tail material with 3-4 wraps.
Tie in Goose Biot by tip with notch facing up , bring tying thread forward stopping 1/3 from eye of hook.
With hackle pliers , wraps biot forward making sure each turn is edge to edge giving a ribbed appearance.
When tying off Biot approx. 1/3 from eye , follow last turn of Biot with thread to avoid tearing the Biot.
Dub thread with superfine dubbing & tie in thorax.
Tie in Lt Dun CDC feather by tips and fold CDC in a loop wing.
Tie off .....& catch a big one.!
Presentation Tips: fish in the foam of riffles/slow moving water
