Collar 1 - Pink Bucktail (tyed 360° around the body - keep it sparse so the body shows through)
Collar 2 - Gadwall Flank (tyed in by the tip, folded and wrapped as a collar)
Underwing - Three strands of UV Purple Krystal Flash (folded over the tying thread and secured in place)
Wing - Hot Pink Marabou
Head - Tying Thread coated with 3 coats of clear nail polish (SHHAN)
Tying Instructions: Materials are tyed onto the cotter pin in the order they are listed above.
The beads and the hook are installed after the fly is completed. The loop of beading wire is crimped and then slipped through the eye of the hook. Slid the hook up the wire loop and then slide the hook though the center of the loop and side it back to the end of the loop. This will allow you to change out the hook if it should become dull, or if you want to add more beads to change the weight of the fly. Multiple beads will also knock together to make noise as the fly moves around under water.
