Body: Rear half: Blue floss, veiled on top with blue
floss extending beyond the middle of the tail
Front half: Peacock Herl
Rib: Oval gold tinsel ( I used silver wire)
Wing: Gray fox guards (I've used grey squirrel tail)
Collar: Soft grizzly hackle
Cheeks: Jungle cock veiled by blue kingfisher
( I used a blue hackle tip )
Head: Red

Tying Instructions: The Blue Rat series of flies was originated and introduced in 1911 by Roy Angus Thompson whose initials : R.A.T. resprsent this oddly named series.
