Current Tags for This Pattern / Brown / Dubbing / Carotenoid Gammarus![]() tied by Firetiger Fly Type: Nymphs, Target Species: Trout, Recommended Region: General Europe, Imitation: Shrimp/Prawns, Material List: Gammarus hook, lots of lead, amber dubbing, brown shell back and monofilament ribbing. Tying Instructions: When the season ends and all the leafs are fallen the gammarus shrimp feast on decaying leafs. The beautiful colors of autumn leafs are from Caroten (the color of carrot), some of which passes to body of the shrimp and it gets the color of fallen leaf. So for anybody that cares about such things: this is an imitative fly and not an attractor :-) Presentation Tips: In deep water classical high sticking of a team; in lower water a single fly on a long thin leader. | Other Flies Tied by Firetiger Members That Bookmarked This Fly Also Bookmarked...
