Tying Instructions: Ribbed is formed from the stem hackle feather.

Tie in hackle by stem, as usual, at the start of th tying but simply do not dispose.

Wind the stem carefully in even wraps to form a rib. Being careful not to snap the quill, good pressure is needed for the rib not to slip.
