Sunburst Biot Spider

tied by dwiltshire
Fly Type: Wet,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Material List:
Hook: Grip 14723BL #12
Thread: 14/0 Sheer, tan
Thorax: Hare, dyed olive
Hackle: Sunburst grizzle hen saddle

Tying Instructions: Keep it simple. A layer of cement under the biot may help for security.

I like to tie the hackle in first by the stem and thenthe biot. Wind the biot up and secure, adding a couple of tuns of hare to form a thorax. Then just one or two tunrs of hackle.
Presentation Tips: So many options... upstream dead-drift, down & across or even fished on a dropper with a dry on the point. Options.... choose whatever the water demands.
