The Animal

Fly Type: Dry,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Imitation: Caddis Flies,
Material List:
Hook: tmc 102Y #11 or !13
Tail/wing: Moose hair, deer hair etc
Body: Polyamid dubbing or whatever you prefer
Hackle: Brown or other colors......
Head: Moose hair, deer hair etc from the same piece as the tail/wing.
Tying Instructions: Tie in the moose hair starting from the hook eye and tie it in backwards to the hook gap.
Tie in a hackle
Dubb the body
Take the hackle forwards.
Cut the the hackle over and under (some prefer to keep the hackle on top..... i don`t)
Presentation Tips: This caddis may not look like a caddis for you, bur from the trouts point of view it looks just like a caddis fly or a caddis pupa.
This is one of Norwegian flyfishers most used caddis fly, and it is amazing.
The guy behind this fly is Gunnar Bingen and the fly came to life in my favorite river Rena in Norway. I have always lots of "Dyret"(the animal) in my box.
This fly is ment to be fished with by making it move quite fast, but dead drift also can work very well
