Current Tags for This Pattern / bead / Black / leech / marabou / micro / Little Tuffy Micro Leech![]() tied by navigator36 Fly Type: General Freshwater, Recommended Region: Central Canada, Imitation: Leeches, Material List: Size 16 or smaller streamer or long shank nymph hook Black unithread 6/0 Thin black wire for body. Small black or nickle bead Small amount of black marabou Tying Instructions: Put bead on hook and tie on the marabou tail. Tie on thin black wire at tail and wrap forward to bead. Tie off wire at base of bead and cement. Cement may be applied to the wire body if wished to give it a bit more shine. Very easy and durable little fly. Presentation Tips: I fish this one deep and slow on a sinking fly line. It's pretty much the same way you would fish a small chironimid pattern with slow steady pulls.
