Dog-tail streamer

tied by bowlover
Fly Type: Streamers,
Recommended Region: Southeast US,
Imitation: Herring,
Material List: hook: size 1/0 bass bug hook
thread: Black or grey 6/0
body: gold mylar
belly: krinkly dog tail hair dyed or colored yellow (from my pomeranian)
flash: lime krystal flash
top: krinkly dog tail hair dyed or colored green
sides: pearl flashabou
eyes: movable doll eyes
Tying Instructions: 1. tie in gold mylar and wrap foreward to hook eye
2. tie in the belly of the fly first. I usually go about twice the hook shank length as it's meant to be a big fly
3. tie in a few strands of the krystal flash
4. tie in the top of the fly's body.
5. Next get a sharpie and make some some black marks for a barred look on the fly
7. tie in pearl flashabou on both sides
8. finsh fly and head cement
9. now add eyes in about the shown position with super glue. It'll help harden the head and push a little bit more water.
Presentation Tips: Fish like any streamer in a lake for bass. cast it let it sink a bit and strip it according to how the fish want it. strikes are usually pretty aggressive
