Presentation Tips: The great fly tier Oliver Edwards designed this pattern to leave a 'footprint' which matches almost exactly the footprint left by a natural dun.

Oliver Edwards says: "The Footprint Dun is a cracking [he's a Brit you know] pattern that you should try for catching wild, selective trout. It's not for general use; reserve it for fishing on glassy glides, smooth pool tails, and chalk and limestone streams.
