Porkie Olive Para-loop

tied by dwiltshire
Fly Type: Dry,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Imitation: Mayflies,
Material List:
Hook: 15BN #18
Thread: Powersilk, orange
Body: Olive Porcupine Quill
Thorax: Hare, dyed Olive
Wing: CDC
Hackle: Golden badger in monofilament loop
Tying Instructions: The loop is formed early on this one and the tag left long and haginf down. Then the hackle tied in and the thorax dubbed. Finish the fly at the head. Then wind the hackle up the loop 3/4 times and then inside 3 times. Push the hackle down with your fingers towards the thorax and then pull the loose end of the mono tight. The hackle will wrap down and form the parachute. A gret technique that I learned from Roy Christie.
Presentation Tips: Upstream & dead-drift is preferred.
