Current Tags for This Pattern / bead / marabou / Jiggy Fly![]() tied by navigator36 Fly Type: Attractor Pattern, Target Species: Pike, Recommended Region: Central Canada, Material List: 1/0 or 2/0 streamer hook Big fly thread or kevlar Wire for body Marabou wing 1/4 bead head Many different color variations. Tying Instructions: Slip the bead on the hook. On a 2/0, it may take some force and may bend the barb slightly. Tie on the marabou tail...optional. Tie on the wire and wrap almost up to the bead head. Then tie on a large marabou wing or combo color wing at the base of the bead. Tie it down tight. Cement it well and that's it. Very simple. Presentation Tips: This is another heavier fly from my pike patterns. I use a 9 or ten weight for this one as it's as close to a jig as you can get. I like using this one for sight fishing. Using a floating line you simply cast it out into some cabbage beds and watch it descend. Then bring it forward with a sharp pull again and watch it descend. You basically jig it through the weeds as it comes back to you. The pike go nuts for it's rising and falling action. | Other Flies Tied by navigator36 Members That Bookmarked This Fly Also Bookmarked...
