Current Tags for This Pattern / Black / Flash / floss / marabou / pupa / red midge / white / The Brillar Chironimid Pupae![]() tied by navigator36 Fly Type: Nymphs, Target Species: Trout, Recommended Region: Central Canada, Material List: Hook- Tiemco 3488 size 12-16 Thread- 6/0 black Uni thread Body- Uni Axxel Flash ( peacock version) Gills- White floss or marabou trimmed Ribbing- None necessary Tying Instructions: Tie on Axxel Flash and wrap almost to the hook eye. Tie it off and Tie on small amount of white floss for gills, wrapping uni thread twice in front of gills at the hook eye, and then build up behind. The black thread forms the case which is whip finished and then cemented. Trim gills to appropriate length. You're done. Very easy.
