CDC & Flashy Rabbit

tied by dwiltshire
Fly Type: Dry,
Target Species: Trout,
Recommended Region: General Europe,
Imitation: Mayflies,
Material List:
Hook: TMC 531 #14
Thread: 10/0 Powersilk, olive
Tail: DNA Frosty fibre, dark olive
Body: Rabbit, mix of underfur & guard hairs
Wing: Natural CDC (Khaki)
Tying Instructions: Keep it simple; keep it scruffy. The 'shuck' is tied in first and then the Abdomen is dubbed. Catch in 3 CDC feathers and secure. The same rabbit mix of undefur and gurad hairs is use for the thorax. Then the loop formed and secured. If you don't achive the slanting back loop you are after, insert you dubbing needle and rub the CDC inside the back of the loop. This helps shape the feathers a little better.
Presentation Tips: All in the surface this on, so a little CDC oil and dead-drift. A little tweak is allowed every so often if it wasn't hailed on the first drift.
