Hook: 2x long dry fly hook

Tail: natural ostrich herl tips
Rib: x-fine silver braid
Abdomen: natural ostrich herl
Thorax: peacock herl dyed red
Wing: 2 cdc tips topped with lemon wood duck fibers
Hackle: light badger

Tying Instructions: Attach thread and tie in 3 ostrich herl tips about the length of the hook shank. Do not trim herl. Move thread to thorax area and attach ribbing then move to tail tying in ribbing on front side of shank. Move thread to rear of abdomen. Twist left over herl ends and wrap to thorax and secure. Follow with ribbing wrapped counter to herl and secure. Move thread to front of thorax tie in peacock herl wrap to meet ostrich and forward again, secure. Stack and match the tips of 2 cdc feathers and a small amount of lemon wood duck. Tie in about 1/8 inch back from the eye building a smooth base for the hackle and trimming the wing leaving about a 1/4 inch of the butt ends over the thorax. Tie in hackle, wind and secure at front of prepared base. Lift the crippled wing and form a neat head and tie off.
