Fly Type: Dry,
Target Species: Steelhead,
Recommended Region: Northwest US,
Material List: Tail: Ice Dub UV Shrimp pink
Body: 6-8 strands of peacock flashabou wrapped on shank;
pinch of Ice Dub UV Purple;
under green 4mm foam (two layers of 2mm works too) doubled over (like a humpy's back)...
Wing: 8-10 peacock swords
Head: good sized clump of Black Deer hair (belly), spun and trimmed
Hook: Matzuo sickle or Gamigatsu octopus #4 strung out on 50lb Tuffline XP

Tying Instructions: 1. string hook on Tuffline and tie it to the sacrificial hook shank, doubling back the tuffline to lock it off.

2. catch in a pinch of the shrimp Ice Dub (its really more gold in color) and double it back.

3. catch in the chunk of foam

4. catch the flashabou and wrap to the mid/front body covering the shank.

5. catch the purple Ice Dub on the far side of the body and double it back to your side - making the dubbing shoot out to the sides.

6. double the foam over forward and tie it in.

7. catch the peacock on the top/sides of the fly.

8. catch the deerhair and spin it tight.

9. whip finish the fly and trim the deer hair - finish with cement & cut the sacrificial hook as close as possible.
Presentation Tips: swung on the surface
