Peacock Herl*Materials with links give you direct access to that product at the J. Stockard store.Tying Instructions: Attach thread to hook at thorax (do not cut off thread tag). Tie in the peacock herl over hook eye. Tie in a hackle feather by lower stem, concave side up, extending over the hook eye and on top of peacock. Make nice even wraps toward the hook bend tying down thread tag as you go. Once you reach a point above the hook point, untwist silk thread to flatten it and make smooth wraps to the rear of where your hackle will be. Rib the body with the thread tag. Make 1-2 turns of hackle back toward the thread and tie down. Move thread through hackle to just in front of it. Repeat same process with the peacock herl. Tie off.
Presentation Tips: Dead drift or swing.
