Fly Type: Attractor Pattern,
Recommended Region: Central Canada,
Imitation: General Baitfish,
Material List:
Streamer hook size 8-12
Superfly glow bead of appropriate size
Glow in the dark thread from craft store ( on bobbin)
Glow in the dark Polyester Yarn
Fine gold wire ribbing
Tying Instructions: Comb out polyester glow yarn for tail.
Tie on tail at rear and then tie on ribbing.
Wrap glow polyester yarn for body to front
leaving a small trace of it at front for fins.
Tie off yarn at front and wrap ribbing to strengthen the body.
Wrap off thread at bead head bringing trace of yarn down to form front fins.
Tie off thread.
Varnish glow body to reinforce it as the yarn will soak it up well.
You're done.
Presentation Tips: I was contemplating a walleye fly for next year.
Will this work? Don't know.
I almost never flyfish for walleye but plan to next year.
