Fly Type: Nymphs,
Target Species: Panfish,
Recommended Region: Central US,
Imitation: Mayflies,
Material List:
Hook: Daiichi #1710, size 14
Thread: Danville Flymaster 6/0, claret
Tail: Ringneck pheasant tail, natural
Abdomen: Ringneck pheasant tail, olive
Ribbing: Fine copper wire
Thorax: Hareline Dubbin, olive #11
Hackle: Starling
Tying Instructions: Pretty basic from the rear forward. The dubbing should be just a narrow band right behind the hackle, then brush it back to veil the body a little. It also helps to tie the hackle stem in facing back and before you wrap the body - keeps the head bulk down. Whip, snip, and fish.
Presentation Tips: Could also work as a damsel imitation.
