Body: Squirrel strip.
Tying Instructions: Start with the hook right side up in the vise. Spin a small round ball just at the bend of the hook. Trim to a cone shape with the wide end to the front of the fly. Leave a few long hairs out the back for antennae. Wrap the body with lead for weight. Turn th ehook upside down. Tie in two short (about the length of the body) strips of squirrel on either side of the head with the leather facing in. Behind the head tie in the ribbing and then a piece of the shellback material. Tie in another squirrel strip and wrap it forward to the eye of the hook. Pull the sheeting over the top tie it in leaving a tag over the eye for the tail of the craw. Bring the rib forward and tie off.
