  1. I like the Uni spools. The spools the Danville thread comes on seems to have a bur where they cut the notch to hold the thread end. It gets caught on the side of your bobbin and causes the thread to break. Uni products are of very good quality in my mind. About the only Danville thread I use is their flat waxed nylon for spinning deer hair. Tight lines, Pete
  2. A simple but effective fly is an Estz bug. Hook size 6 streamer hook eyes small red dumbell tail white marabou with pearl krystal flash body pearl estz or catus chenelle Pete
