  2. I love, love, love big nasty rabbit strips! Those are sweet. I dont know if Ill ever fish for steelhead. But I always like the flys.
  3. I like the transportation set up!
  4. it was a joke. pinks a go to in the winter here for me. If you dont have it in your box your hands wont smell like fish. lol
  5. Well before the thread goes in this direction, I got a soft cooler that doubles as a seat with backpack straps. Talk about an alcaholic travel accessory! Happy holidays! :hyst:
  6. Lol, I think it was a "trainwreck". Nice mouse!
  7. This is a really cool thread. You wouldnt think that giving small bits of info would make you feel more at home. I hope everyone replies to this post. So, here I go. I was for 7 years playing music. I love my SG. I now work :wallbash: Fishing is my hobby All kinds, but fly tying and fishing has a special place in my heart. I used to take photos, but the music took the photography money. I still have the camera. Maybe now that Im working I will eventually pick it back up. But the fishing is now taking all the money. So it might take awhile. I used to hack(eesack) I like real bluegrass, jawbox era rock, and old country. Not so much a fusion. I collect old lp's I collect rock posters. I like drinking with friends!
  8. That shure looks like fun. That humpback one is impressive.
  9. Creek Its a speckled trout! During Texas winters, If it aint pink, your hands wont stink! Lol. Thats just a big ol 6"ep minnow. The wiggler's different. It works great for trout too though. The fish is only about 18". Im gonna get tying tomorrow hopefully. I fished for 3 days, Im tired!! I tie right handed and share your taste in hook holder. Cheers!
  10. Thats strange but looks really cool. I have caught largemouth in bayous that were pretty yellow that lived in close proximity to salt water but nothing that yellow that I can remember. Probably a genetic oddity. Not really an albino, I think you have to have pink eyes for that.
  11. Love those CLIFF boxes chalk. Their the best! Nice fly by the way. I can see a red chompin' on that one in my near future! You a lefty Flatz? Nice vise, and those look killer! I havent even started mine, this week was tough at work so Im gonna fish ALL weekend. Had good luck today with trout. They were thumpin hard!
  12. Yeah, its just that we keep people alive and animals with disabilities rarely make it into adulthood. There are some people without disabilities that are lucky they made it to adulthood.
  13. The BB isnt a bad name either! I think half the fun of tying flies is being able to give it a cool name. Even if the flys are only refered to by your buddies. FlatzFatz, Nice with the glue. I bet with all the coats of hard n' phirm its pretty durable. I hope you like the fly im tying in the swap.
  14. All three are beautiful flies! :headbang: Fox news is the BEST!! :hyst:
  15. Slipper foot. Although, with only one hoof that one could be a new breed of "fiddler deer". Lol
  16. ElectricSaltSpider? I dont know. Ill tie you an extra if you tie me and extra! That looks like it would be killer on the beachfront here in the summer.
  17. Im down with 10. Or we could all send 12 anyways and get a couple extra mystery doubles back. Whatever deeky wants. :headbang: PM me the address sir and Ill just send the 12. I fished one of the extras yesterday, didnt catch any fish but the fly looked great. Water was muddy and it was cloudy and foggy and cold and no bait. Not the best flyfishing weather. But Ill be using this pattern more. Looks good all natural, but the way I tied mine lends itself to clear water on a dark day. I have ignored bendbacks before but now that I see the advantages around grass and shell I think Ill be making alot more in the future!
  18. Its sweet that this one is back from the dead. Nice fly creekfishin! Cant wait, hope you have some luck with mine, yours look great! aroostookbasser, being a salt man, I have dabbled in some small midges and elk hair caddis for rainbow and I feel your pain. FlatzFatz, Nice to see more salt guy joining. Looking foreward to this. Lets all try to make it a speedy turnaround, winter sightfishing is right around the corner!!
  19. Im in. Pink shrimp WIGGLER!!
  20. Man thats sweet! You'll always remember that one. Cheers
