    Biots

Thanks for the help. Those links cleared a lot up for me. I didn't think of useing turkey. I have about 6 whole turkey wings I have been saveing for fletching my home made arrows as I am also into primitive archery.

    Biots

I am trying to tie them in on the body of the universal nymph pattern that I found on this site a couple of weeks ago. They are goose biots on a size 14. I tried cutting them off of the quill but that didn't work so I tried putting them on with the quill attached but they still don't look very good.

I just bought some biots for the first time. How do you prep them to tie them on the hook. My attempts so far look terriable. THanks.
  4. South Central Montana. The Yellowstone and the beartooths in my back yard. I can't believe that I'm the only one from Mt. here.
  5. I've been useing the thompson A for the last 25 years but I think it's time to retire it. The hools are starting to slip in the jaws.
  6. I'm going to the shop where I got the beads and make sure I get the ones that fit the hook tommorow.
  7. Thanks for the info. I'll go get the next size up beads.
  8. Hi, I am trying to tie a copper john which requires a bead head. I bought #14 1x nymph hook and 1/8 beads. I can't seem to get the bead past the bend of the hook. I broke one hook trying to get the bead on yesterday. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
