  1. Well there ya go! Amherst it is... I have a bunch of amherst crests too... Thank you everyone. Not really interested in trading... I have too much already, but thank you for the offers.
  2. You know, I have seen a lot of pheasant tails, and I do not think these are pheasant tails (I could be wrong)... these are 3' long! I just looked on ebay, and the amherst pheasant tails look much smaller. Again, I am ignorant, so I may be completely wrong... Don't ya love a newb!
  3. I traded a camping trailer for a bunch of tying material... half is stuff for trout/warmwater which I will use, the other half is salmon stuff. I am pretty clueless on some of the stuff, so I thought I would ask what it is? So, what are these feathers... I have six of them, two orange, two blue and two purple. They are about 3' long. If anyone is interested in them, let me know.
  4. These are two patterns a buddy of mine is really trying to find recipes to. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I prefer my ceramic bobbin as well, but the funny thing is, I am nor sure why it feels so much better... Not sure the brand, but it has the "ball style" spool holders. They are round chrome. The ceramic is pink... That is my favorite...
  6. I like Red myself. On my reds, I also tie in purple flashabou instead of thin skin for the wing case... That is my favorite color combo.
  7. Thanks for the welcome, sorry for posting in the wrong area.
  8. I was referred to this site by a member who is also a member of the main fishing site I am a part of. What a great place you have hear. I am excited to be part of the place and hopefully learn as much as I have from my other favorite website. I have tied for about 3 years and it is my second favorite passtime next to fishing! I reside in CO and fish a couple times a week. I was told about the site while trying to find a picture of a UV emerger. If any of you have a picture of one or material list it would be greatly appreciated. I hope I can contribute to this site and have another place to discuss my favorite sport....
