  1. No tools, but I did get a paperback copy of A River Runs Through It and $200 worth of BPS and Cabelas cards. I'm thinking a new sleeping bag for backpacking and about $170 of tools, materials and leaders.
  2. Is that the price year round or just at christmas?
  3. How much are they and how do I get one?
  4. Most of my nymphs are bead heads. In my experience I catch more fish on them. Even if I use splitshot to get the fly down. Maybe the fish mistake the bead for an egg and a hatching nymph? That's about all I can come up with, what do you guys think?
  5. Not to be a back patter, but the look pretty good to me! :headbang:
  6. Usually NFL Network or a football game. If I'm listening to some tunes it's usually Rock/Metal... unless there's Bourbon involved, then I slip into some Willie Nelson or bluegrass.
  7. Lamps, fly boxes and books. Two volums of Cabela's hard bound catalogues are the center of atraction.
  8. It's a flyrod lure. Looks pretty awesome to me.
  9. I've had good luck on Palmers in yellow or orange, BWOs and Pheasant tails. Really can't go wrong with tiny midge clusters like a Griffiths nat or a small Crackleback. Good luck!
  10. On rare occasion when I take tools, I use an old cassette briefcase. Just take out the cassette holders and replace with thick foam. Not fancy, but if your on a budget you use what you have.
  11. Michaels also has a good selection. You can get gold wire, Pheasant Tail feathers and Herl as well.
  12. I agree, great start on a soon to be awesome display.
  13. They also work well for holding tails on jointed flys and trailer hooks on long streamers.
  14. Anyone know how to spin craft fur?
  15. A small beard comb works well to pick out the under fur before stacking.
  16. Razors work well, but make sure you get the thin shaving razors and not the utility knife blades. Shaving razors are sharper, they are also flexible.
  17. the gills around here would eat the wings off. especially the char./red and the pink/white. nice clean body of work. tight lines!
  18. I've been fishing the cumberland tailwater for trout for years. What I would like to do now is hook into one of those 20+lb stripes. Any tips?
  19. What flies are best for Stripes on the Cumberland? What about leader sizes?
