I was at Hatchery Creek in Kentucky fishing over the weekend. My friend and I left about 1 PM on 2-24 to return to Indiana. In a haste to leave I left my rod on top of his truck. I know it is a long shot but hopefully the person that finds it is will to return it. I can describe the rod and reel. Thanks, Mike Prybis

Where did you get it and how much did it cost?

I know rod builders do this. You might try searching rodbuilding.org

I was wondering if anyone new when and where the 2018 International Fly Tying Symposium was taking place? I would like to attend this year and I need to schedule my vacation. Thanks.

you still cast a fly line when making a 30' cast or longer when using the mono rig. So does it only become fly fishing when cast a fly line? Tenkara is fix line fly fishing using the same type of rig as the mono rig. What makes that fly fishing and not the mono rig?

Antron yarn won't turn black when heated with flame
Prybis replied to SpokaneDude's topic in The Fly Tying Bench
According to the instructions, the antron will turn brown. Does not say it will turn black. 2. Take a one-inch piece of Antron yarn and hold the end over a cigarette lighter. The fibers will fuse and turn brown. Tie-in the yarn on top of the hook at the bend so the dark head protrudes over the bend. -
What is the difference between this mono rig and using a 15' leader for dry fly fishing? Besides the length of the leaders I see them both as the same.

They look awesome! Thanks.

Tried my hand at making some jig flies.
