  1. Maybe you should embed it in a concrete floor. :hyst: I'm a pedestal man myself. Great advice TB! I've got both c-clamp for travel and pedestal on the bench. I converted a small wood working bench into fly tying. I've got a Wasatch wood pedestal mount so I called Dean Childs and asked him to sell me a brass mount to insert into some red oak I cut to fill the tool trough. Put a danvise lap extender into the mount and my Renzetti Traveler works just fine! TDS
  2. Renzetti Traveler knob...just bought another on sale at Orvis for my home bench and put the old one in my travel bag. TDS
  3. All good input so far. Now I'll throw in my .02. The best advice I received when starting out was to contact the local FFF or TU and find out when they meet to tie. About all you have to do is show up and prepare to receive instruction. Most have tools and materials for us nuggets on which to learn and most will teach, coach and motivate while you're there. You get a chance to try out some gear and make a more informed decision about what to buy and from whom.
