  7. the original pattern calls for metal beads. But I think the plastic pearl beads make it a bit more "fishy". I've got them in all sorts of colors.

  12. I like using Tiemco 8089's for my clousers, the wider hook gap helps with hook ups. I also like Dai-Riki 810's for smaller clousers. I've been tying them a ton so far this winter. hope this helps

    Dr Fix I guess it just drives me nuts not being able to make it as nice as you see in the Fly Shops.
  16. I have some but I do not remember what shop I got it at, its awesome for eyes on GL steelhead flies and does not add any additonal weight to the fly. Any leads would be most appreciated. Regardless of color, I can dye them black if needed. thanks
  17. This is one of my favorite patterns to fish in the late summer, but it is one pattern that drives me crazy trying to tie it. What is the best way to tie the bullet head and what is the best hair to use? Any help would be great.... -E- Love'em and Leave'em

  20. Has to be the Northern Michigan Hex Hatch. The monsters come out and and destroy the surface in search of the giant mayfly. With the ever present danger of dunking in the river in the middle of the darkness. Eli
  21. buy a ostrich herl feather duster for a couple bucks and get a lifetime supply of ostrich herl for tying some life like nymphs... Eli

  23. Thanks For All the replies....I have been tying some traditional bonefish/permit flies just smaller and in tans/browns/rust. I've got some good stuff I need to get uploaded here soon.
