  1. Got two more sets in and the last set is on it's way. First are eastern fly's articulated mouse and a flatwing for his unarticulated pattern. I've caught tons of fish on Kevin's flies over the years and should catch plenty more on these two. Then we have Dorado's awesome set. His small one is a black ghost variant and his big one is a black over white marabou streamer. The big guy is similar to a Galloup's Barely Legal but unweighted. Thank you to both of you for the extras. -Mike
  2. I'll be doing some jumbo sized divers. 6 1/2 inches on a 3/0 Partridge Predator
  3. Trez's flies came over the weekend. Very cool set and thanks for the extra's. Just five days to go so hopefully everyone gets their flies in the mail over the next couple of days. -Mike
  4. Here's one of mine. I'll be doing a few different color combos. The body is reverse bucktail and shimmer fringe with saddle hackles. Deer hair head, big CCG eyes and goo over the top to make sure the eye's don't run off. On dual 4/0 Owner worm hooks with 80lb wire for a connection. Bottle rockets for scale -Mike
  5. Mailed mine yesterday. I did a tungsten bead black pheasant tail with a pink hot spot. -Mike
  6. Joseph Russell's came today. Good job on both. The Boogieman is a fly I've used quite a bit myself and a great trout catcher. Good job on the Telephone Boxes too. I like fishing small hairwings like that with my 4wt on our little smallmouth creeks. -Mike
  7. Just checking in to see how everyone's flies are coming. The due date is just a little more than three weeks away. -Mike
  8. From top to bottom, brown, brown, rainbow. -Mile
  9. Flies are in the mail. I ended up tying the Gosling, an Irish lough fly. -Mike
  10. Vicrider's came today. They look great. The Hogs are a good color combo for browns and smallies around here. I've never fished for crappie but I'll definitely be giving it a try with those little minnows. -Mike
  11. Just adding to all the great deer hair work that's been posted already this month.
  12. Address please. I ended up tying the Greenwell's Glory from page 56 of the summer 2007 issue. This article sparked my interest in North Country wets back when it came out and to this day they're one of my favorite kind of flies to tie and fish. -Mike
  13. PM sent. How are everyone else's coming along. I've got all my little guys done. -Mike
  14. So it is the Brian Wise version. Rich Strolis uses arctic fox on the original. I've tied and fished it both ways and they fish more or less the exact same. I kind of prefer the craft fur version because it's easier to work with. Half the fox at the fly shop usually seems too short. Here's Rich tying the original. http://vimeo.com/34414042 -Mike
  15. Looking good guys. Is that the Brian Wise version of the Hog Snare with the craft fur wings? -Mike
  16. I've been telling my self I wouldn't join if someone did the club another year but I just can't resist. I'm in. I believe me and breambuster are the only original swap club members to make it the whole four years. Hopefully he joins in for year five, too. -Mike
  17. Got my November set yesterday. Well done everyone. Tied up a set of Royal Coachman wets last night for this month. I'm going to throw a couple more coats of varnish on their heads and get them in the mail by the end of the week. -Mike
