  1. I started tying in January of 2000. I'm in my late 40's and have been interested in tying for many years, just never had the time to start getting into it. I enjoy the shear beauty of a fly as a piece of art work. Catching a trout on a fly that you have personally tied is a wonderful experience.
  2. Hi Federico! We have 2 things in common already! We fly fish and I'm a 48 yr. old Italian born and raised in Wisconsin! My Grandafther was born in Italy and moved to the US. I would love to one day see my fatherland of Bologna and see relatives that I have never seen in my life! Maybe do some fly fishing as well? Welcome aboard! Joel
  3. I signed up for the forum today after reading several topics and enjoy reading everyones thoughts and experiences! Let me introduce myself! I'm 48 years old, married with one 24 yr. old college graduate daughter. I've been a Manufacturing Engineer for the past 18 yrs. I took up fly tying 4 yrs. ago after the family life settled down. The fly tying art ,as I call it, is very interesting, challenging and fun! I've been an avid hunter and fisherman for many years and over the last 4 yrs. and have been turning my quarry into usable material for tying. Look forward to getting to know you folks! Staff
  4. First Replay to this wonderful forum! Just a suggestion about the Danvise! I looked on Ebay and they have the Danvise for $60.00 plus shipping! Hope this helps with some rotary vise decisions? Staff
