  1. If I could catch a flight out and the event is near an airport, I would probably make it out. Now if we could just get someone in the Aspen/Basalt area to hold an event that would be awesome.
  2. Maybe this will make it more tempting for some... I'm thinking of holding it a this place http://www.westbranchresort.com/ Or maybe even just a local camp ground or fishing access depending on the amount of people.
  3. Yes I do.. I have two prime locations i'm thinking about. One is in Roscoe and the other is in Hancock. Once I get a basic head count and the approximate date. I'll see what place is better for hosting our activities and let everyone decide on it.
  4. Was wondering if any members would have any interest in meeting up with each other for some fly tying and fly fishing in the Catskills in NY? Or any other state that has lodging near a river, and is a fly fishing destination place where we could get a good gathering of members who are interested in putting user names with faces of the friends they made or will make on this forum. Or does this type of event/BBQ happen on this site, and I just keep missing all the details about it???
  5. I'm thinking maybe it's b/c some are now only into the blogging and myspace thing.
  6. Good question.. I noticed that a few months back myself when i was also reading some older threads.
  7. Well told the wife to pick me some up from wal*mart when she was out today. She asked an employe where she would find them in the hardware section. My wife explained what they were and looked like. And the sales associate told her that she wasn't familiar with the term alligator clips. But she does know what aisle they sell Cockroach clips..

  13. I got a PM from this user about buying dog fur from his fur processing plant in China. Granted it's not some strange company spam. But I don't think it's a good idea to let new members PM others before a certain post count. Hope we don't get other types of spammers doing this.. Sending everyone a quick PM since they know we will read it.
  14. Great report & very nice pics of them browns. Hope you post some data of the browns you catch next year that you tagged. Would love to read about the growth of them over the year and how far they travel on average from last time caught.

  19. Glad they made it. Hopefully the slinky sighter holds up well. I usually get about a half dozen days frenchy nymphing before the coils straighten out on the one I sent you. -Mike Thanks for the sighter and the extras. I was going to send you a PM on it. Since I didn't know if it was intended for me the SM.. Or if you wanted me to place it in another swappers envelope. Also do i need to do anything with it. freeze it, boil it. Or is it already for fishing? I already boiled and froze it. It's ready to go. -Mike Thank you sir...
  20. I'm interested... Can you please list the steps? Also, does anybody know how to make foam indicators with the surgical tubing that your line slips into and is held in place? What type of hard foam do they use for them? Any idea where I can get it from?

  22. Well hope you do like the name Orvis for your cat.... Another option with the name Orvis, you can even shorten it and call him OR-V as a nickname..
  23. So we only got two days left for mailing the flies in Anybody not make it in time?
  24. Crackleback received your swap flies today. Nice color mono for a sighter
  25. Yeah, I hope this new guy has a better business plan then the other shop and extends his product line & reduces his prices. Since what I'm told was. The other shop was only worth talking with the people and maybe buying a few flies to help the store out. And in the winter months it was just basically a nice place to get warm for a few minutes when fishing. I hope this changes and it becomes a great place for buying fly fishing gear and tying material when fishing this area in PA.
