I think you're right snook, that should work. :yahoo: You did a great job on that one .
-
Wesley, where are you from? Steelyjim pretty much nailed it with eggs and buggers.
-
OH yeh!! I was wandering what I was going to use those things for! :hyst: All I can say is, I bet the bass eat them up!!!! :yahoo: Now I have to get busy
-
D**m, let's see the fly now, you showed use the real deal! Good job snook, that looks great!
-
You can also try WOOLY BUGGERS. Crayfish, crawdads what ever you call them are killer. Try different streamers, and oh yea, did I mention wooly buggers. Don't tell anyone that wooly buggers work because it's top secret! :hyst:

When I tried to access it tonight I couldn't get thru, but I usually can. Just have to try and hopefully it works.

I just looked in my copy of The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference, and I didn't see anything listed as far as stacking hackle. I'll look again tomorrow, and also check out some of my other books. I did a google search and that didn't give me anything either.

Great, Hope I get mine soon, I have been going bare chested the last three days in anticipation. Four people at the Chinese restaurant tried to rub my belly, mistaking me for Buddha.
Shoot that's the funniest thing i've heard all day!!!!! :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst:

Joe looks good. With a streamer fly like that if the head is to bulky (packed to tight) it will just float and not sink. Very nice job.

oxquo, fisrt off, welcome aboard and to the new addiction. I see you are in Canada. Here's a place in Canada that raises and sells hackle. I never tried it so don't know anything about them.
Also Charlie Collins in New York has good hackles resonably priced. He doesn't have a web site, but here's his address and phone number.
Collins Hackle Farm
436 Kinner Hill Road
Pine City, New York 14871
607-734-1765
Check out JStockard on here for the wooley bugger saddles, these are nice.

Hope some of this helps you out.

Oh boy, carp are a blast on a bamboo rod! When ever I see them rooting around I always "try" to catch them. They put on some sceaming runs and are blast on the fly rod. Clouser crawdads and most nymphs will work. But a sloppy cast will usually send them to the next county!

sweeeeeet!! :headbang:

Nice looking dry for your first. Flykid was right, when he said shorten the wings and the hackle a little. But I would defenately fish that one. :headbang:
