  1. I had offered an apology to the swap leader... I should have offered one to you guys as well as participants. My box should land any time now... shipped priority mail due to it being late. Things got out of hand around my parts for a while and I should have mentioned it earlier... so I apologize for holding up this swap. Hope no one has hard feelings about it. Thanks.
  2. Crazy busy around here lately... I only need to tie a few more. Send me addy and they will go out on/by Monday.
  3. Sounds good FC. Thanks for hosting the swap! I can't wait to see what kind of creative ingenuity everyone used
  4. Since everyone else is tying the hopper dropper... put me in for a dropper TBD, maybe a brassie, rs2 or a miracle nymph. I'll check the supplies and figure it out.
  5. I've been working on a foam black ant if you'll consider that a hopper... Sz 12 or 14.
  6. Sounds like Canada has some organized crime running their PO... I'll remember the restrictions when/if I ship there. The box I used registered for 70 cents in shipping costs... but it probably wouldn't fit the "slot"...
  7. I will second Charlie Craven's book... Amazon is currently out, but you can get it third party at Amazon for about 25 bucks shipped Charlie Craven's Basic Fly Tying
  8. There is a certain allure to connect with nature when I fish. I didn't get it when lure fishing and certainly not by dropping power bait. Now I couldn't care less if I don't catch that record trout, just as long as I connect with my surroundings and refresh my soul.
  9. Went to the dollar store and picked up a pocket sized first aid kit... plastic latched box about 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"... lightweight and thin for easy mailing.
  10. Unless it's a horrible fly... it goes in the box to get fished, otherwise it gets stripped back down and retied.
  11. Better than my first flies for sure. It all comes with practice, something that I know I could use more of
  12. Been working through Charlie Craven's book and tying the GRHE... think I've got the basic, now time to play with some variants.
  13. Zebra emergers all tied up and ready to go... addy please.
  14. Just finished tying up my flies for the soft hackle or nymph swap, so if you'll have a new tier in the mix... I'm in with a sz 14 GRHE.
